		<description>Obviously it depends on what one means by &quot;bacon. As you say, American-style &quot;streaky&quot; bacon is excellent in the microwave, but Canadian/English/Irish bacon (which is basically smoked loin of pork, thinly sliced) would be horrible. The latter is what Mr Heyward is wearing on his head in the photo, and if that&#039;s what White used, shame on him.</description>
